Day 1: Arrival in Agadir

On your arrival in Agadir you will be met and transferred directly to Taroudant. Due to its location between the High and the Anti Atlas Mountains and the Sous Valley, Taroudant remains the largest area for Argan culture. Taroudant is often called the “Grandmother of Morocco” and it was the capital of the Saadian dynasty in the 16th Century. You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore Taroudant and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 2: Taroudant – Berber Cooperatives

Today you visit the argan fields and see goats climbing the Argan trees for food! En route, visit a working woman’s co-operative and learn about the process of extracting oil for culinary, cosmetic and medical properties and discover why argan oil has become renowned throughout the world.

In the early afternoon enjoy lunch with a local Berber family giving you the opportunity to learn more about the indigenous culture of Morocco. Spend time with the family and help prepare by participating in bread baking utilizing a traditional feran and afterwards enjoying a lively lunch.

Day 3: Taroudant – Argan Oil

Today you can take part in an interactive workshop where you will learn about the various uses for Argan oil and how to make some of your own products, both cosmetic and culinary. Later connect with locals and be absorbed into Moroccan culture with a visit to the local hammam. Here, you can take the products from your workshop and employ the techniques that you have learned absorbing yourself into the rituals and culture of the local people.

Day 4: Taroudant

This morning enjoy a short tour of the town of Taroudant before departing for Agadir.

From learning about the traditional methods of producing Argan Oil you now also have the opportunity to visit a modern production plant. Here, you can gain an understanding of the changes taking place within the argan industry, the different methods of production employed and more importantly the difference that makes to the final product.

Enjoy your free afternoon at your leisure.

Overnight in a 4/5* Hotel in Agadir

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5: Agadir and departure

Take a short tour of some of the main sites in Agadir one of Morocco’s premier coastal towns, including the Olhao Garden, Ancienne Talborjt and Kasbah or soak up the atmosphere of the main beach promenade.

Transfer to the airport for your evening flight home.

Alternatively, extend your trip and transfer to the Atlas Kasbah for a few days of relaxation - a unique experience!

Day 6/7: Atlas Kasbah

Extend your visit relaxing at the Atlas Kasbah.

The Atlas Kasbah is an award-winning eco-friendly guest house in Agadir. It is 20 minutes from the beach in the High Atlas Mountains in the south of Morocco. On day 7 we will arrange your transfer to the airport at Agadir for your flight home.
