Located at 7,000 feet, between the mountains and canyons of the Four Corners region, Basecamp is a beautiful and relaxing place to begin your trip. Enjoy delicious home-cooked food in the House, drinks on the Palapa next to the pond, and views over Mesa Verde National Park and the majestic San Juan Mountains. Nestled away in pinyon pine forest on "Deer Hill" itself, our cabins offer simple but comfortable "camping-style" accommodation.
CAMPING
The camps vary depending on the location, but it is comfortable camping with excellent equipment provided by experienced guides. The guides know the area well and will be happy to meet any needs you have.
THE VIEW HOTEL, MONUMENT VALLEY
The View Hotel is a Navajo owned business located within the Navajo Nation and the Navajo Tribal Park at Monument Valley. Opened in December 2008, this carefully designed Hotel serves the needs of visitors from around the World while blending with the environment, so as not to detract from the beauty of Monument Valley. There are 95 rooms over three floors, each one with a private, eastern-facing balcony with views unlike anywhere else in world. The top floor features StarView rooms with unforgettable views of the stars, the entirety of Monument Valley and serves as a perfect venue for amateur night-time long exposure photography without leaving the comfort of your room. Unique to The View is the authentic Native American décor with a locally woven Navajo Rug, traditional Navajo dye chart and other Native American inspired decorations.

Ya'at'eeh, my name is Armanda Ortega and I am of the Kiy`anníí (Towering House) Clan. I am privileged to welcome you to a sacred place for my people, the Diné. In the Navajo, we believe that our people journeyed through three worlds in various forms of being before emerging from Mother Earth into this world, the Sparkling World.
The View Hotel is built adjoining the Tribal Park Visitors Centre which has been on this site for over 40 years. Our Hotel is designed with respect for the sacred setting in which it is located and the view of the famous formations of Monument Valley are unlike anywhere else in the world. The View Hotel has been designed to exist in harmony with this unique land. Every guestroom has a view directly facing the Mittens and the exterior of the hotel is from a colour palate of the red earth that surrounds us. When you view the hotel from the valley floor of Monument Valley you will see how it merges with the natural rocks formations and the contours of the land, becoming one with the earth.
When you are a guest in our hotel you will enjoy a view of an enormous landscape where Mother Earth meets Father Sky in a seemingly endless vista of beauty. This is a place where Hozhóó, harmony, is revealed to all.
